Crowdfunding: Francis Cabildo

One of the more enjoyable parts of producing the Catholic Playlist is that we can help artists pursue their dreams of recording music. Francis Cabildo has launched a project on Kickstarter to record his first full length worship album and we’re pleased to help him promote it and reach his goal. We’ve played a couple of his singles on the show in the past and look forward to hearing his new music. About his music, Francis says:

I want nothing more than to sing and play music that helps people encounter Jesus, to know his love and be transformed by Him. Music has aided me in my journey towards Him and I know that it can do that for others as well.

We ask you to prayerfully consider helping Francis get his album recorded by making a donation towards his project.

Crowdfunding: Andrea Thomas

Andrea Thomas

Back in Catholic Playlist #50 we were pleased to feature Andrea Thomas as our new artist of the week, and now she’s looking to get back into the studio to record some new music. We enjoyed playing a couple of tracks from her first recording project “Crying Out to You” and we look forward to hearing her new music, which she says will be about overcoming fear.

We ask you to consider helping her spread her message of overcoming fear with faith, mercy, and love by making a donation towards her project.

Check out her Kickstarter post to learn more about this project and prayerfully consider supporting her.

Crowdfunding: Taylor Tripodi

Taylor Tripodi

Meet Taylor Tripodi. Someone liked her Facebook page the other night and it showed up in my news feed so I checked it out. And I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Taylor is a talented singer from Cleveland, OH and a current student at Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH who just started a Kickstarter campaign to produce her debut EP titled “Be Glorified”. She has a modest goal of $5,000 by March 12th and is nearly halfway there as of the time of this post. Check out her Kickstarter campaign and website at taylortripodi.com and if you can, please support her campaign. If she’s successful we hope to debut her music on the show!

Here’s a quote from her website:

The Lord has revealed to me in so many ways His unconditional love through all of my failings and beautiful life experiences. THAT is what I love to write about. I love to write about Him. He has always been there for me at every moment, even when I have turned away from Him. I have realized that to me, truly He is the only one worth writing and singing about. He deserves more than any song I could ever write for Him or about Him, but if I can give Him any praise and show people through my music the one who loves them more than anything else and lead them into a deeper relationship with Him, than I will have fulfilled all my dreams that I have for my music.

Crowdfunding: James Rosenbloom

Catholic music artist James Rosenbloom

If you’ve listened to the music on the Catholic Playlist show or followed many of the artists that we’ve had on the show, chances are pretty good you’ve heard or seen James Rosenbloom in the background. He’s performed with PJ Anderson, Greg & Lizzy, Alanna-Marie Boudreau, Tori Harris, Kevin Heider and many, many more. As a performer on the cello, upright bass, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, lap dulcimer, sitar, piano, as well as background and lead vocals, his versatility and talent can really bring value to his fellow artists.

And now James is looking step out of the background and record his own collection of both instrumental and sacred hymns which he’s composed over the course of the last ten years or so. But this can only happen if he reaches his goal by Oct 1, 2014. Please consider supporting his Kickstarter project today!

Crowdfunding: Benjamin Brekke

Benjamin Brekke

One of the more enjoyable aspects of the rising popularity of the Catholic Playlist is that we can help artists pursue their dreams of recording music. One such artist is Benjamin Brekke, who is hoping to raise $2,000 on Kickstarter by September 4 to finish his project. He’s close to the finish line, but could use a little more help. Please prayerfully consider pledging some support for Benjamin’s project.

For a great story about Benjamin and his music, check out this article in The Catholic Spirit from the Archdiocese of St Paul & Minneapolis.

Crowdfunding: Shaun Garrison

Thanks to our friends Lori & Adam Ubowski of Out of Darkness for letting us know about this project. After 15 years of dreaming, Shaun Garrison has decided to step out in faith and pursue his dream of recording his original music. Right now, as this post is published, Shaun needs a little less than $6,000 to meet his goal of $20,000. But there’s only 10 days left and if the goal isn’t reached, there is no money, no project. Watch his Kickstarter video below, check out the project on Kickstarter, and prayerfully consider helping Shaun reach his goal to professionally record and produce his music.

Crowdfunding Opp – Dee Simone

Dee Simone

When the Catholic Playlist show started in July 2013, it was about playing some great contemporary Christian music from Catholic artists on the radio. There are so many talented people who are using their gifts to inspire and spread the joy of the Gospel through the power of music and we’re trying to help them get heard by as many people as possible.

And by doing the show, we’ve discovered that there are many equally as talented people who want to use their gifts too, but need a little help getting there. Recently we featured the campaign of Fr Kevin McGoldrick to help him raise the funds necessary to get his music recorded and released. Thanks be to God and your response his campaign reached and exceeded his goal. And just today, we’ve come across another campaign on IndieGoGo that we want you to know about.

Dee Simone (www.deesimone.com) is a Catholic worship leader and music missionary looking to fund her very first EP titled “Lovesick”. Her campaign on Indiegogo ends on August 5, 2014 and she needs a little help to reach her goal. Check out her campaign here and prayerfully consider making a contribution.

And here’s a new video of her singing the title track:

Help Father McGoldrick Make His Music

Fr Kevin McGoldrick

If there was one crowdfunding project you were going to support this year, your wait is over. If you’ve never pledged a dollar to help an artist make their art, now is the time to pledge.

Meet Fr Kevin McGoldrick, a Catholic priest. According to his website, “I’ve been a priest for over 10 years and a musician for over 30. When I became a priest, I thought I would have to give up music. But the Lord gave this gift back to me. Over the past 3–4 years, I’ve entered a new phase in my musical journey. I’m recording my first album, entitled “Square Peg Round Hole,” with the help of some talented and faith-filled musicians in Nashville, Tennessee.” Fr Kevin is a very talented artist and deserves to make his music and have it heard.

But he needs your help.

Visit his project page at IndieGoGo here, find out more about him and make a pledge today.

Don’t wait, just do it. The deadline is July 21st. And then we’ll get to play and promote his music!
