Thank you so much for joining us for another edition of the Catholic Playlist. Once again we find and play the best and some of the very newest contemporary Christian music, but from Catholic artists only. So this is music you won’t hear on your mainstream Christian music radio station. But we’re trying to change all that, and in that quest this playlist has a stellar lineup performers, starting with new song selections from Cooper Ray and Lee Roessler. Other performers include New Name, Katy Blythe, Josh Blakesley, Audrey Assad, and Chris Bray to name a few.

Our featured new artist this week is The Project, a musical duo that explores the martyrs, those who, through the centuries, gave their very lives for their faith, their freedoms, their communities and their friends. It’s a real musical treat that you won’t want to miss.

It’s the BIG 5-0! Thanks to our great listeners this is the 50th Catholic Playlist show and we think it’s the best one yet. We have brand new music from Brandon Fitts of Delmore and a new song from Marie Miller, as well as songs from Steve Angrisano, Tori Harris, Jackie Francois-Angel, Sarah Kroger, Out of Darkness and more. Our featured new artist this week is Andrea Thomas, a talented singer who has recorded with country music star Collin Raye. You can hear both Andrea and Collin in the second segment.

Did you know that virtually all of the artists we play on the show are independent artists? This means that they not only write and perform their own music, but also have to foot the bill for recording studio time, professional mastering, post-production, and so on. Please support these artists by buying their music, or even better, booking them for a conference, parish event or even an intimate house concert. We have some direct links to music on iTunes here on the website with more being added all the time.

The Catholic Playlist – THE show that plays the best and some of the very newest contemporary Christian music from Catholic artists today. What song, what artist, are you going to discover and hear for the first time in this show? Who knows, there might be something in here just for you!

This playlist – which has not 1 but 2 new song debuts, including the first ever EP from Katy Blythe, who is our featured new artist this week. The other debut is from Pasquale Talarico who co-wrote and recorded a song for Catholic Relief Services – an anthem of sorts called ‘One Family’. Other artists in the playlist include Jackie Bissin, Mike Mangione, Danielle Rose, Noelle Garcia, Kevin Heider, and a Tori Harris double take of 2 songs off her new EP Sweet Dolor that we haven’t played yet. Welcome to another Catholic Playlist show – playing the best and newest contemporary Christian music from Catholic artists. Our playlist today has songs from Collin Raye, Chris Bray, Marie Miller, SimplyRC, Sarah Kroger, Army of Me, Alanna-Marie Boudreau and Audrey Assad.

Leading off the show this week is Tori Harris. First congratulations to Tori as her new EP Sweet Dolor rose to #2 on the iTunes Gospel & Christian chart on Tuesday, she’s doing interviews with all sorts of radio stations, and is appearing this weekend in Oshkosh, WI at Lifest with big name acts like Casting Crowns, Toby Mac, Mandisa – in fact she’s the only Catholic artist there, so kudos to her! I think she’s set to breakout and songs like ‘King of Kings’ will make it happen. Enjoy the show!

In this edition we have a brand new single from PJ Anderson, a new track from Tori Harris’ new album coming out next week on July 8th, and a new single from our featured artist this week, Jackie Bissin. In between all this new music you’ll also hear Jacob & Matthew Band, Delmore, Alverlis, Ike Ndolo, and Stephen Kirk among several others.
