S3:E29 Catholic Playlist Show #140

Every so often we like to have a little fun with our playlists. This week we lead off with a fun song simply titled “Sing Along” by David Casper. Aptly subtitled “Catholic Love Song”, if you’re a single person be prepared to sing along with the refrain as this song is for you. Lee Roessler just released a new album titled Coming Home and we debut the first single released from it titled “How Sweet the Sound”. Finally, we found a song from Sarah Hart’s new album Till the Song is Sung that we’re digging now titled “Source and Yield”. We hope you’ll like it too.

It’s the time of year when the kids head back to school (I’ve got 3 in school, 1 in college and 2 married off), football season is upon us (yes!!), the weather begins to cool down just a bit as we see the fall season coming soon and in no time we’ll be seeing pumpkin spice flavored stuff advertised everywhere. Whether or not you like pumpkin spice lattes, which I don’t (I can’t stand coffee), you’ll like the music we’ve picked for the playlist in show #137. Catholic Playlist #128The Catholic Playlist is expanding! This week the show welcomes the listeners of Catholic Community Radio to the Catholic Playlist. The Catholic Playlist Show can now be heard Saturday afternoons on 690AM WQNO New Orleans and 1380AM WPYR Baton Rouge in Louisiana. We are so happy to have y’all on board! These 2 new stations raises the total to 25 radio stations across the US playing the show.

This week our lineup of performers include Curtis Stephan, FOCUS Worship, Fr Rob Galea, Lee Roessler, Chris Bray, Dee Simone and many others. Spotlight on Lent Themed Music

Catholic Playlist #116The season of Lent is upon us and we hope and pray its been a fruitful one for you so far. This week’s episode is the first in a series of playlists with Lent-related music sprinkled throughout to mark the Lenten season. Some examples include Josh Blakesley Band’s “Here At The Cross”, Sarah Kroger’s “Run to the Cross” and Sarah Hart with “Be With Me, Lord (Ps 91)”. “One Dark Night” by Fr Kevin McGoldrick is another good song for lent, as is Audrey Assad’s “I Shall Not Want” from her album Fortunate Fall.

We’re always looking for some of the newest music to play, and this week we’re pleased to debut a new single from Teresa Peterson titled “He Makes All Things New”, which happens to be the name of her spring tour starting in February. Check out her website for dates and concert locations.

Last, but not least, Fr Rob Galea joins the playlist this week with “No Greater Love”. We think you’ll like his sound and is a solid addition to our roster of artists.

Catholic Playlist #115After 2 weeks off the Catholic Playlist show returns with great contemporary Christian music from Catholic artists. We have the debut of 2 new singles in the playlist, one from PJ Anderson, the other from Jeremy & Ryan. Also in the playlist is Teresa Peterson, who’s going to be touring the midwest in March and April, Emily Wilson, Tori Harris, Ben Walther, Steve Angrisano, and Out of Darkness.

The debut from PJ Anderson titled “Love Will Heal” leads off our playlist. It was released this in conjunction with his appearance at the March for Life Youth Rally and Mass in 2016. Enjoy!
