The St Louis Jesuits bring us a classic recording of “Earthen Vessels”, which we haven’t heard in quite a while, and Jack Cassidy smoothly croons “Be Still My Soul” with a skill not often found in a 14 year old!

Catholic Playlist Worship – #31

Catholic Playlist Worship #31Some ‘classic’ favorites make an appearance in this week’s episode of Catholic Playlist Worship. First, there’s a 1975 recording of “Turn to Me” from the Saint Louis Jesuits. While it’s not recorded with the best quality (it’s probably a digital copy of the original vinyl recording), it nevertheless will bring back fond memories of hearing it for years at Mass.

More fond memories are in store with “Hear I Am, Lord” from Dan Schutte, but this one is a special 30th anniversary release, so it sounds great. Other artists appearing this week include Anna Nuzzo, Jon Sarta, Twila Paris, James Rosenbloom, Jackie Evancho and more. Enjoy playlist #31!

#5 – Catholic Playlist Worship

Catholic Playlist Worship

Playing the best and some of the newest sacred and traditional Catholic music available for your listening enjoyment is all a part of sharing the joy of the Gospel through the power of music. The playlist this week features Kitty Cleveland, Friar Alessandro, Andrea Bocelli, Collin Raye, and Jackie Evancho – who by the way just released a new album a few weeks ago. I didn’t realize that when I came across her music while browsing the gift shop at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, Alabama. I figured if Mother Angelica would sell her music then it’s been approved for this show!

We start off the playlist with “Dormi Jesu” from Jackie Evancho and her new album called “Awakenings”, followed by “The Lord’s Prayer” from Andrea Bocelli and “Make Me A Channel of Your Peace” from Friar Alessandro. Later on we start our last segment with “Ubi Caritas” from the brand new album titled “Ineffable” released just last week by Simonetta & Fourever. We hope you enjoy this week’s playlist!
