S3:E29 Catholic Playlist Show #140

Every so often we like to have a little fun with our playlists. This week we lead off with a fun song simply titled “Sing Along” by David Casper. Aptly subtitled “Catholic Love Song”, if you’re a single person be prepared to sing along with the refrain as this song is for you. Lee Roessler just released a new album titled Coming Home and we debut the first single released from it titled “How Sweet the Sound”. Finally, we found a song from Sarah Hart’s new album Till the Song is Sung that we’re digging now titled “Source and Yield”. We hope you’ll like it too.

Others joining these great artists in the playlist include Chris Bray, Dave Moore, Emily Wilson, Ike Ndolo, Matt Faley and others.

Another new release from the Vigil Project

John offers more about the inspiration to the song to lead off the second segment of the show, which you can also watch right now:

Other great artists and songs heard this week include Matt Faley (“On My Own”), Matt Maher (“Deliverer”), Jaime Thietten (“Chasing Me”) and Donny Todd (“Heart”).

Great Music for Lent

Catholic Playlist #117Sharing the joy of the Gospel through the power of music for Lent, it’s the Catholic Playlist show! A program where we search out and assemble a playlist of the some of the best and very newest contemporary Christian music out there from Catholic artists. If you’re new to the show, we promise you’ll discover music and artists you didn’t know before – and it’s great stuff!

Audrey Assad InheritanceWe continue with finding some great music for Lent, plus we have a selection from Audrey Assad’s brand new album “Inheritance” later in the show. Artists heard this week include Danielle Rose (“Sharing Calvary”), Collin Raye (“Were You There?”), Andrea Thomas (“Crying Out To You”), Tori Harris (“Less of Me”), and many more.

Enjoy!

Catholic Playlist #102

Catholic Playlist #102Discovering new music is one of our favorite things about doing the Catholic Playlist, and this week doesn’t disappoint! We are always on the look out for new music and artists for the show, and this week we found Danielle Noonan, making her debut with “There Is No One Like You” from her album ‘The Awaken Project’.

In addition to searching out new music, we keep watch over what’s happening in the Catholic music scene and there’s a lot going on right now. For example Lee Roessler, who makes an appearance in the playlist this week, is working on a new album, as is Sarah Hart, Connor Flanagan and Rebecca Roubion. And Tori Harris has co-written and is featured in a new single released this week called “Coming Home”. Inspired by the coming Year of Mercy, the song is about the prodigal son and God’s forgiveness and judging by the comments we’ve read, it’s a hit. Check out the video of the song that we posted earlier too.

The rest of the playlist features performances from Out of Darkness, John Finch, Greg & Lizzy, Chris Bray, Dave Moore, Ben Walther, Hope and Justin (who we just learned is set to release their new album “Love & War” in 2016) and Army of Me. Enjoy!

Next Week: New music from Andrea Thomas!

Don’t forget to add your favorites to your personal playlists!
