Arise EP from Jeremy and RyanAs we mentioned and posted earlier this week, our new featured artist this week is Jeremy and Ryan. We’ve received a lot of good comments not only about their music, but also about them personally. Seems like they did know “that this is exactly what God had planned for us.” Check out “Your Love Goes On” in the playlist this week and then grab their EP Arise today if you like their music as much as we do.

And finally, here is the iTunes playlist for all of the music in show #91:

#87 Catholic Playlist Show

Catholic Playlist #87The Catholic Playlist show is a showcase of some of the best and very newest music released today by Catholic artists. We have a new featured artist this week – Hope and Justin – and we have cool mix of new and previously unplayed music in the playlist, with songs from Katy Blythe, PJ Anderson, Dante Schmitz, Connor Flanagan, Alverlis, Greg & Lizzy and Of The Tower. We have two songs from Josh Blakesley Band in the playlist too, including the first song “Revive Us” from their latest album “Even In This”.

Hope and JustinOur featured new artist this week is Hope & Justin. Hope and Justin have been playing music together since the first night they met, which was over 10 years ago now, but they are still at it and are joined by what they say are “incredibly talented friends”. They describe their music as homegrown music with lots of soul: everything you loved about 70’s folk and bluegrass with a modern vibe. In 2013 they released their second album titled “Eastern Bound”, and they’ve been rewarded for their hard work and talent, having been selected as “New Folk Finalists” in the Texas Kerrville Folk Festival, semi-finalists in the International Songwriting Competition (chosen among 20,000 contestants), and awarded “Best Folk Song” in the West Coast Songwriter’s Competition. Hope & Justin are making their Catholic Playlist debut with “St Michael’s VW” from their latest album “Eastern Bound”.

And making a return to our blog posts here for each show, here are links in iTunes of all the songs in this week’s playlist.

Catholic artists like Kara Klein, Marie Miller, Ben Walther, Sarah Hart, NOVUM, L’Angelus and others. But before we start the playlist, we need to welcome the listeners of 2 radio stations now carrying the Catholic Playlist show, first we welcome to the listeners of the Living Bread Radio Network in Northeast Ohio, the Canton and Youngstown areas specifically, and those listening to KCRD 98.3FM in the Dubuque, Iowa area – glad to have you aboard.

This is our first show since Easter Sunday, so it’s quite appropriate that we lead off this week’s playlist with “Sing Alleluia” from Cooper Ray.

Song of the Week – Sep 15, 2014

Ben Walther - Catholic Playlist Song of the Week

Welcome to the Catholic Playlist Song of the Week! Our song for the week of September 15th 2014 is “You Are Mine” from Ben Walther. Ben is a singer, songwriter, worship leader, husband and a father who calls Ohio home. Making music for more than 15 years, Ben travels across the country to lead worship and share his gifts with God’s people. He’s co-written songs with Christian music greats like Matt Maher and released his latest album “Make Your Home In Me” last year. “You Are Mine” is one of many great songs on the album, and it’s our Catholic Playlist Song of the Week:
