We found new music for you in this week’s Catholic Playlist Show. Episode #139 brings you music from Alanna Boudreau’s new album Champion and a new group, E.P.I.C. the Band, suggested we give their music a spin, and after sampling it, we’re happy to oblige. We haven’t heard from Mike Mangione & The Union in quite a while, so we you’ll hear “Are We Going To Rise?” to fix that problem. We first heard Wade’s music at a Facebook group called Catholic Music Insiders – its a place for Catholic singers and songwriters to share their music, events and activities to help promote their work – and we thought he deserved a spot on the Catholic Playlist.

Wade TalleyWade grew up in Corning, Kansas and where he married his high school sweetheart and now has seven children on this earth and twin girls in heaven. He’s got a great story about his inspiration for writing songs that we’ll look to tell in a future show, but he just released his second album “To Sing Your Song” earlier this month, a follow up to his debut album “A Shot In The Dark”. His songs all center on themes of faith and family and speak of being a husband and a father as well as how to get through hard times. Catholic Playlist #100September 29 happened to be National Coffee Day. ‘Coffee’ also happens to be the first radio single from Fr Kevin McGoldrick’s new albulm ‘Square Peg, Round Hole’ (pre-order here or here). Inspired by these facts, we decided to open this week’s playlist episode with a set of songs that set the tone for a great day. So if you’ve been looking for some ‘wake up’ morning music to get you inspired to take on the day, pay close attention to our first segment of the show.

Catholic Playlist #94It’s the 94th edition of the Catholic Playlist show and this week we have a stellar lineup of artists representing a wide variety of styles and sound. We have selections from Josh Blakesley Band, Collin Raye, Sarah Kroger, Shaun Garrison and Teresa Peterson, plus Lee Roessler who’s currently in the studio working on a new album. A request from a listener gave us our lead off track this week, which is Ike Ndolo and one of our very favorite songs “Wade In The Water”. Finally, we have a fun and playful song in the mix too – “Sing Along (Catholic Love Song)” by David Casper. Listen to the lyrics closely and see if it doesn’t have you smiling throughout!
