S3:E28 Catholic Playlist Show #139

Featuring Alanna Boudreau, E.P.I.C. the Band, and Mike Mangione

We found new music for you in this week’s Catholic Playlist Show. Episode #139 brings you music from Alanna Boudreau’s new album Champion and a new group, E.P.I.C. the Band, suggested we give their music a spin, and after sampling it, we’re happy to oblige. We haven’t heard from Mike Mangione & The Union in quite a while, so we you’ll hear “Are We Going To Rise?” to fix that problem. And we picked songs we haven’t played before from the FOCUS Worship team (“Sing My Love/Like An Avalanche”), Taylor Tripodi (“Forgiven”) and Mathias Michael (“How Great Thou Art”).

Next week you can look forward to new music from Aly Aleigha’s new album “The Labyrinth” and Lee Roessler’s new album “How Sweet The Sound.”

First, it’s “Prayer of St Francis” from the soundtrack of the movie The Letters, based on her life, followed by “I Thirst” from Annie Karto. Mother Teresa said that those words, “I thirst”, written in their chapel and taken from Jesus’s words from the cross on Good Friday, were a constant reminder of the purpose of the Missionaries of Charity. Other performers appearing in this episode include Kitty Cleveland, Jack Cassidy, Audrey Assad, Lorraine Hess, Collin Raye and several more.

Join Us At AbbeyFest!

AbbeyFest

We’re very excited to announce that the Catholic Playlist will be an information vendor at the AbbeyFest this year!

In just three short years, AbbeyFest has grown from a free concert in the St. Norbert Parish gym into a full day outdoor Catholic faith, music and family festival with close to 3,000 people this past September 2015.

Held at Daylesford Abbey in Paoli, PA, the grounds are transformed into a festival atmosphere featuring dozens of Catholic vendors along with food trucks, family and kid-friendly activities, pickup Frisbee, soccer and touch football games and dozens of Archdiocesan, Norbertine, and other order priests hearing confessions throughout the day and evening along with prayer and healing teams.

We’ll be there to meet and greet all of the fans attending the event and also capture photos and videos of the performances of Aly Aleigha, Teresa Peterson and the Josh Blakesley Band!
