Welcome to our latest playlist this week as we head into Ordinary Time in the liturgical calendar. Once again we’ve got a great selection of music. A couple of songs are perfect for Pentecost that we just celebrated, and then there is a nice variety of sacred hymns throughout. This week we lead off the playlist with a composition from the official movie soundtrack of “The Letters”, a movie that explores the life of Mother Teresa through letters she wrote to her longtime friend and spiritual advisor, Father Celeste van Exem over a nearly 50-year period. With her canonization coming up in September, we thought it was appropriate to share this music with you. This first selection from the soundtrack is titled “Prayer of St Francis”.
