#50 – Catholic Playlist Show

It’s the BIG 5-0! Thanks to our great listeners this is the 50th Catholic Playlist show and we think it’s the best one yet. We have brand new music from Brandon Fitts of Delmore and a new song from Marie Miller, as well as songs from Steve Angrisano, Tori Harris, Jackie Francois-Angel, Sarah Kroger, Out of Darkness and more. Our featured new artist this week is Andrea Thomas, a talented singer who has recorded with country music star Collin Raye. You can hear both Andrea and Collin in the second segment.

Did you know that virtually all of the artists we play on the show are independent artists? This means that they not only write and perform their own music, but also have to foot the bill for recording studio time, professional mastering, post-production, and so on. New Featured Artist: Andrea Thomas

This week on the Catholic Playlist show our new featured artist Andrea Thomas. Andrea is a Cincinnati, Ohio native who left her hometown at 18 to study music at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Her next stop was to Franciscan University of Steubenville to finish her degree in Theology, Finance, and Marketing. Andrea’s passion for music led her to start an all-women’s singing group at Franciscan University which performed regularly throughout her three years on campus. It was during this time that she began writing her own music. In 2011 she debuted with multi-platinum, country music mega star, Collin Raye, on his first inspirational album, His Love Remains. Several months later, Andrea released her first album, Crying out to You, in 2011. Andrea travels and sings both solo and with Collin Raye at concerts and conferences throughout the United States.

#46 – Catholic Playlist Show

Welcome to another Catholic Playlist show – playing the best and newest contemporary Christian music from Catholic artists. Our playlist today has songs from Collin Raye, Chris Bray, Marie Miller, SimplyRC, Sarah Kroger, Army of Me, Alanna-Marie Boudreau and Audrey Assad.

Leading off the show this week is Tori Harris. First congratulations to Tori as her new EP Sweet Dolor rose to #2 on the iTunes Gospel & Christian chart on Tuesday, she’s doing interviews with all sorts of radio stations, and is appearing this weekend in Oshkosh, WI at Lifest with big name acts like Casting Crowns, Toby Mac, Mandisa – in fact she’s the only Catholic artist there, so kudos to her! I think she’s set to breakout and songs like ‘King of Kings’ will make it happen. Enjoy the show!

#45 – Catholic Playlist Show

It’s another new show that plays the best and some of the very newest contemporary Christian music from Catholic artists – and you can’t get much newer than a couple of new releases in Playlist #45. In this edition we have a brand new single from PJ Anderson, a new track from Tori Harris’ new album coming out next week on July 8th, and a new single from our featured artist this week, Jackie Bissin. In between all this new music you’ll also hear Jacob & Matthew Band, Delmore, Alverlis, Ike Ndolo, and Stephen Kirk among several others.
