Welcome to the Catholic Playlist Song of the Week! Our song for the week of January 19th 2015 is ‘Little Flower’ from Danielle Rose. Born into a musical family in Duluth, MN, Danielle grew up playing the violin and later played in an alternative rock band. Ultimately her spiritual and vocational journey led to her current music ministry and latest album titled “Culture of Life”. A visit to a Chinese orphanage for abandoned babies with special needs resulted in an album of powerful and mostly positive songs about motherhood, chastity, contraception, adoption, post-abortive healing, the redemptive value of suffering, the universal call to holiness, the unrepeatable nature of each soul and euthanasia. The song ‘Little Flower’ is based on this quote attributed to Mother Teresa – “How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.” This week happens to be Respect Life Week and that makes ‘Little Flower’ from Danielle Rose a great choice for the Catholic Playlist Song of the Week!

You can purchase this song or any of Danielle’s music at www.daniellerose.com or on iTunes:

Danielle teamed up with the amazingly talented folks at Spirit Juice Studios to film a video for the song ‘Little Flower’ on location in China at an orphanage for abandoned babies with special needs. A powerful pro life message! Please watch and share!
